Faster speed could help freeze subject. Maybe get in closer. Face shouldn't be covered unless that is your intention. Try shooting closer to sunrise or sunset for better light.

Good stop-motion.

Stop action is nice. DOF is good.

Great capture of motion in action, it's a little blurry but the pose is really neat.

Focus is off, horizon is tilted, and should have cropped out the distracting person/leg on the right. However, I can appreciate the emotion captured here and the fact that he and the ball are both off the ground. With a little editing, I think you could have improved this shot dramatically. As it stands, I've gotta give you a 4.

Fun! Made me smile!! But don't assume that because you have an affinity for your subject, the rest of the world will too. Otherwise, a good workmanlike photo
03/16/2009 03:10:58 AM
a tad OOF
03/16/2009 12:02:43 AM
As a snapshot, you did well to capture the action.
03/15/2009 03:08:18 PM
nice catch, but focus is off
03/15/2009 09:34:32 AM
Nice attempt at an action shot. It's a shame the glove was infront of his/her face; focus is off; and cropping the arm of the other child out would have made this a better photo.

regards ;) brano

And it looks like he does. A bit blurry, but a good stop action shot.
03/15/2009 12:01:06 AM
Great jump and nice framing between the mountains.
03/14/2009 11:54:24 PM
Nice idea but the hand in front of his face is a shame

This is probably a candid but it's cool how he is right between the 2 hills.

GReat capture. Maybe a closer crop would have made this young chap even more of the center of attraction, but a fine shot.

great action shot

He looks suspended!

Nice capture.
03/14/2009 11:22:22 AM
very nice action shot...wish the focus was sharper
03/14/2009 10:10:21 AM
Nice action shot.
03/14/2009 09:57:29 AM
Way to capture the moment!
03/13/2009 07:29:04 PM
crop tighter , loose the person on the right to have more impact.

03/13/2009 07:19:42 PM
he's floating!
03/13/2009 05:32:43 PM
Very centered. Almost disturbingly centered. A decent action capture though... nothing that stands out to me.

good capture and I like the sense of motion on the ball. I would think the left third of the image can be cropped out as it doesn't add anything to the pic...

Nice timing!! I suspect he did indeed make the catch.
03/13/2009 11:12:19 AM
A lot to improve on with this photo. 1) The boys face is covered up with is probably less than ideal 2) If the boy was off centered, it might make the composition a little more dynamic. 3) Having the other players leg peak into the frame is a little distracting.

it's great how you caught that jump and got him centered pefectly against the background
03/13/2009 08:25:32 AM
Nice catch! hahah. Good colors. Needs a little more focus but great story.
03/13/2009 08:19:03 AM
good stopped motion but needs to be a little sharper.
03/13/2009 08:14:48 AM
the centered composition doesn't work for me here ... I think that cropping off the sleeve on the right side would help ...
03/13/2009 05:11:26 AM
out of focus.
03/13/2009 05:03:55 AM
Cute action shot.
03/12/2009 10:36:12 PM
You did get it! Cropping might make it more interesting.
03/12/2009 06:57:11 PM
nice action shot, a touch soft on the focus which may hurt it a bit but well done :)
03/12/2009 06:31:14 PM
Fun shot! It's a bit flat, though. Maybe play with the saturation a little to make him pop a bit, or add some shadows.
03/12/2009 02:37:36 PM
Average shot looks a little OOF.
03/12/2009 02:31:40 PM
Good action shot, but would have cropped out that leg...
03/12/2009 10:34:32 AM
A catch?
03/12/2009 07:24:33 AM
heh...nice moment. : )
03/12/2009 05:42:06 AM
sharpen it
03/12/2009 12:41:00 AM
Wow fly ball and fly boy. Good shot.
03/11/2009 10:12:26 PM
Great action shot. I think a tighter crop, and slightly sharper focus (though that can be extremely difficult -- these little guys move a lot faster than you think) would have made this really stand out.

The subject and the background all fit together so well.
03/11/2009 06:22:04 PM
nice action. jumping like a kangaroo
03/11/2009 01:55:17 PM
nice action, but the focus is soft, taking away from the shot.
03/11/2009 11:02:22 AM
need to see his face

Great moment captured!
03/11/2009 10:10:52 AM
Fun shot. I might have been nice if the kid was a little less blurry, but it was a cool moment to capture.
