Used perspective tool to straighten window. Cropped closer to the window, mostly on the sides. Shadow/highlights and then high pass sharpen blended in. Curves to up the contrast. Hue/sat to bring down the color a little bit. Cloned out some piece of paper on the window sill. Resize, USM. This is a reworked color version of a shot I've had in my portfolio for a long time.

Great job. Love the window shot.

I like this, not least because I am a cat lover. I like the way the windows reflected in the bottom pane fly out from themselves. I like the way the reflection of the trees appears to be the dream of the cat. I like the way the reflection of the same building in the two different panes appears to be two different scenes.

The bottom frame would make a great poster. Actually, the whole thing would make a great poster. And then hang it in your window so somebody can come by and take a picture of it.

Don, this is kind of like a window to the past. What it shows is behind you. I think you did a nice job on this. I'll recommend you for a Posthumous ribbon as I know him.

Recognized as yours when previewing entries. Several oscillations keep the viewer suspended or aloft in contemplating form and substance. Not just the oscillation caused by the wibbly storm window, but the frames within frames, the rectilinear forms within the building facade, and most sweetly mr pussycat backgrounded by and looking at greenery (and possibly sculptures of his master's race - whitish forms look like faces to me). One shot. And yet the photo is deceptively quiet.

This is a photograph that needs to be studied...not passed by in a scant 6 seconds. For if the viewer sticks around, they will be rewarded. The lower pane of the window is a photograph within a photograph and is the part that intrigues me most...what a perfect perch from which to watch the world go by.

Voted earlier coming back to leave comments. I love the picture within a picture shot for they make one think. I like this capture of the window that is outlined in stone. It makes me think that what is within the window is 'locked' away in a fortress. This closed window reflects the outside world with greenery and and open window on the building opposite. Window here is closed shutting off access to the open air, sights, and sounds of the world outside. This little cat seems to long to escape to see and feel the sights it sees from out it's 'fortress' window. You had a great eye to see the potential story that this could tell. I do have a critique (ah, man she has to get nitpicky now!) is those same reflections cause a slight problem. Mainly is that the cat is not as distinctly visible as it could be. Could you have changed the angle of the shot so that the reflections did not obscure the cat as much as they do here? Perhaps a lower angle or a slightly higher angle would have done the trick.

Ahh, more like what I like, almost like what Melethia would enter, and yes that is meant to be a complement of the highest order.

Nice shot, great detail and textures as well as the capture of the reflection. I wish the cat was more visible, as it would give more intensity to the mood of the picture.

I almost missed the kitten! I LOVE how you can see the curtains swaying in the wind, in the bottom reflection. I love the kitty sitting there so curiously ... perhaps wanting to explore the unknown. 10 from me.

good frame, but to bad for the reflection in the bottom window, that cat would make an interesting subject if it was more visible.

At least three different pictures all nicely rolled into one presentation, the slightly unreal nicely bounded by the more substantial real. The true gift, of course, is the cat.

Looks like a painting. I like the overlay of the trees on the cat, as no doubt he's dreaming of chasing a bird or squirrel in those trees. Wonderfully distorted reflection of the other windows. Really a neat shot; well seen!

Yeah, I really like this. I found it interesting, then the title brought in your intended humor. The framing of the reflected building and windows is great. Nice eye. I will offer this point as well, the processing is a matter of taste, but I would offer that this may be stronger in BW. 6
