 This was taken in Portland, OR up at the Skyline Cemetery.
I originally pulled over to take this because the fog cleared and I loved the contrast of the light and blue sky. However in a matter of less than 30 seconds Mother Nature said "No shot for you!". This is what I ended up with. I hope you all enjoy it. Please feel free to comment or critique. Thank you for viewing.

I would like to thank everyone for all of their wonderful comments during the challenge. While I didn't do as well as I had hoped, it could have always been worse. I fought back and forth about what photo to enter for this and while I think the ither one might have done a little better, I wanted to submit something unique. The other photo was of the Painted Hills in Oregon. You can see it here:

Very interesting button mushroom shapes with the snow on the bushes (I guess). It would be better to use the 720 pixels rather than 584. It would bring out more detail. This works well in the sepia look.

That's gorgeous. I wish the foreground didn't get progressively lighter towards the bottom, but that nit aside I totally love it!

The shapes really do look like something from Dr. Seuss, but the tones and colors are quite the opposite. Great depth with the layers of fog in the background.

This really DOES remind me of Dr. Seuss!! It could, however, use some sharpening and I'm not sure if the monochromatic works for me.

An interesting idea but I think the title carries it a bit too much... plus the image doesn't really have a very Dr. Seuss feel beyond the subject... it feels very drab and antiquated.
