This one was yours? I should have guessed. Your ability to capture the soul of animals is unsurpassed! Its amazing the connection you feel when you look at this. But the technical quality is amazing. I swear that krinkled up nose is popping out of my computer screen!

That's a powerful and dramatic image. Not often one get's the opportunity to photograph a Tiger displaying his ferocity like this. Very well done and impressive shot. Love those bristly whiskers and those fangs. 9

Great snarl and some sympathetic PP to draw attention to the face. I might have backed off the sharpening on the whiskers a little (or dulled them) so that they didn't come out as bright white stripes - I think they detract a bit from the face and eyes - especially on his left hand side.

Great detail, especially in the whiskers.

The front teeth look so little compared to the others. I had never noticed that before in tiger shots. I guess the four big ones get the job done well enough.

Chills me to the bone! Excellent capture of the Tigers expression. The rock on the left is a bit distracting.

I dont care if this was taken in a zoo, this is an amazing image. what a great print this would make for a fan of tigers. i love everything about it, the white balance, the sharpness or the whiskers and fur, the intense look in the eyes.. a really great shot. 9

I'm hoping to leave comments on as many photo's in this challenge as possible... out of (currently) 1124 images, I gave 31 of them a 9. Your image was one of those 31.

There are quite a few "big cat" images in this challenge, what makes this one stand out is that all of the others almost look posed... calm big cats sitting dozily facing the camera. This on the otherhand conveys some of the savagery and ferocity of such magnificent beasts. I hope you had a very long lens on your camera lol, I would not fancy getting this close to a 10ft tiger with teeth like that!

Good luck for a strong finish in this challenge.

Whatever you did, you probably shouldn't have done it :-) I like this capture. It seems a little bit flat to me, but not too bad. It's nice to see the response from the tiger.

Kitty not happy. A great candidate for the lolcatz website when the challenge is over.

I find the contrast/saturation a bit low and the mid-highlights a bit disappointing.

He had mere seconds to react, and growled in surprise and shock, flattening his head to brace for the shock.

*PANG!* The frying pan smote him cleanly, leaving a bruised bump and dazing him completely.

"I told you to take out the garbage last night Henry!" yelled his wife.

Henry rubbed his sore head and muttered under his breath. His mother had warned him not to marry her, but he hadn't listened, and now his life was just a series of being beaten by a Tigress with a Frying Pan. He grumbled to himself and walked off to take the garbage out.

Some tiger he turned out to be.
