I wonder if you are going to like this shot. I hope that I will see this one in my DPC front page, cause it has a reference to my youth!

For those who may ask, in the background resides a shot of John Coltrane, a famous to me Jazz Musician, from an LP cover (Misty Night I think).

I didn't get the time to vote in this challenge, but I have to say I also would have given this a pretty high score. It's an original idea and very under appreciated in my personal opinion. Way to go getting the order of the thumb from Ubique. And check out your score from the commenters!

It seems to be an exposure of 50 years as much as it does of 1 second. I especially admire the fact that the movement blur is so subtle, and yet so appropriate to the essence of the subject. A tremendously thoughtful and original photograph with several levels of reward for the viewer prepared to make the effort. 10. And the Order of the Thumb:

you should have stuck an mini light on the edge of the record to get a psychedelic look(of course that has nothing to do with jazz. sorry:)
