*************

Thanks to everyone for the comments and thanks to Don for the ribbon - I think it was the chocolate toning that pushed Don over the edge.
As Melethia noted, (I can't get anything past her) this is a pinhole photo, and the aberration is present as a rainbow "lens flare" and when converted to b/w makes up the textures. (by selectively adjusting the colors in a b/w adjustment layer)

Did not look at the Rock Song challenge, but if I did I'd have been moved to exclaim. Possibly quite forcefully. Hot Damn! Or words to that effect.

Excellent photo and I could definitely see this as a rock album cover. This really looks like a water painting imo, love the tone and that sun, that sun rocks! Well done and I can see why most the comments have this has one of their favs for the challenge, well done!

I didn't follow the Rock Song challenge. One of the best in the SC so far, I think.

Now, this is a gorgeous photo, reminiscent of some of the really early photography. I like the hints of suggestions of elements around the figure, which might almost be imagination filling in the holes your image leaves us, and the childlike rendering of the sun.

Now I have to vote on this challenge so I can give this a 10... That fireball is quite impressive, and lends a whole new - imperative - meaning to that line from George Harrison.

VERY nice. I almost want to guess pinhole, but when I try shooting into the sun, I get all sorts of weird chromic aberrations going on. This suits the song well.

great picture, one of my favorites in the challenge!

although, george harrison did pen the song and sang it, the song should be credited to the beatles from the abbey road album.

Maybe not as positive as the song goes but i like your photo. Looks more like some sort of judgment day, so thumb up for that :)
