Hmn. I suppose if the challenge had been 'wildlife' I would not have entered this. But 'fauna,' though less commonly used, connotes not only animal as opposed to vegetable but also habitat, and it seems that habitats morph at a rather greater rate than species. As well, this is more interesting than the gulls, pigeons, crows, deer, eagles, oystercatchers and more gulls that I photographed this week, an effort that always garners more respect from me for 'real' wildlife photographers.

Little doggie was inside the store, cars reflected in the window through which I shot. Little doggies have become ubiquitous in these venues is my point. Mostly they are happy, but sometimes I wonder.

The only postprocessing action of interest (to me) is that I ventured into the Gimp and for the first time used the straightening thingee.

Appreciate the comment that this would have done well in the FS, but I strongly doubt it.

Oh, that is so cool! I love the way the reflections work. What a shame it didn't do well!

Haven't checked in with you lately. I like this a lot. Challenge definition aside, it stands on its own as a really cool street shot.

Wonderful mishmash of reflections! The kind of thing I'm always watching for but don't usually find with this much richness.

There are so many layers in this, like a closet crammed full floor to ceiling - mercantile habitat indeed!

No way would this have done well in the free study! Sorry I didn't vote on Fauna. I couldn't stomach the idea of looking at all those seagulls, pigeons, crows, deer, eagles, etc. Especially eagles.

There's a beautiful blonde on the hood of your car! P says it is fantastic and it would have been an easy ribbon, had he voted on this challenge ;-) Fun pic.

Ha. Thanks, cc. Maybe too obvious a bid for the posthumous, or maybe I shouldn't have straightened it.

no posthumous for this? what a bummer. What a hilarious capture. Love those wild poodley looking creatures you have in your neck of the woods. Must be hunting for his evening meal hehe.

Reflections upon reflections! The poor dog looks overwhelmed. Clever shot.

This should have been an entry in the Free Study - yeah, thers is an animal in it, but it's not a strictly a fauna. It's a terrific composition - very clevel use of reflections and if it had been in Free Study, its a potential winner. In this challenge, not so much.
