@ Eric

Thank you! It's not a statue, it's a tall pine.

Of course :))) Did I give the impression it was not edited? I thought the question was technical in-camera settings (lenses, dof and so on).

@dinotech - I just used my Olympus with the attached lens, set to super macro mode, the regular UV filter attached. The trick was to get my daughter to sit still and not blink while looking out the window. I only got a couple shots of her, because she didn't have much patience for my picture taking :))

Thanks for your comment!

Congratulations on a great image Ursula..so glad to see "selective desat" doing well. I`ve always felt that..used well, it can add so much to an image.
Your ribbon winner proves that to be the case.

Congratulations Ursula
I didn't vote on this and when I first saw this I must admit I didnt really like it, it's different to my usual style of image
But now that it is up on my screen I think it is really well done
and very deserving of a ribbon I still dont know how to do that (select an area)
Great work and sorry I didnt vote I would have probably given it a 7

Excellent, brilliant shot. Expertly desaturated and editied overall, but there is one small (tiny) problem I have with it, and that is the dark line in the reflection that appears to be some electricity cable or something.
