 My son was "playing" with ladybirds ... trying to find as many as possible. We didīnt have much to do at the summerhouse ... and the pencils were lying there.
In PS - layers, smart sharpen, and made the ladybird more red.

original. First one in here that has something other then just crayons or colored pencils. (other then people drawing with them) nice DOF.

Love the composition and DOF! The magenta clashes with the red of the ladybug and pulls my eye besides, so I'd shift the magenta into the purple range till it faded into the rest of the background. Still, my favorite shot in this challenge.

A very creative look at colored pencils - the image meets the subject matter and with a witty attitude. A terrific demonstration of the creative process in meeting the challenge. Should be a sure bet to win a ribbon or place high as a top twenty image. A couple of minor detail problems not worth mentioning because they don't appear until you really get a critical eye and examine the image closely. Well done.
