You have done an amazing job on telling the story of this dreadful condition. The contrast in the poses is so painful. (Glad you didn't crop anything out that is there in this image ;) )

A moving picture, even w/o the title, but more so with knowing the love and sorrow that this contains. Beautifully captured!

Poignant. Think I'd have cropped out the door entirely, though she could be frowning because she can't get outside, I just don't think it adds enough to the story and I'd like to zoom right in on their expressions.

I don't really agree with the choice of title. The disease is hard to show in a photograph since its a mental disease.

What I see in this photograph is simply an elderly couple. That in itself is enough of a story and makes me want to know more about them. I like the use of the door to frame them and the bit of the house in the frame gives us an idea of the character of the house too. It makes me believe that this is the house that they've lived in most of their lives.

Were you playing off of Ansel's image? If so, a nice homage. Either way, a nice im-age.

This is a really poetic shot, perfect title to draw the viewer in, and excellent lighting on the subjects. I can see it in a book somewhere...

A very emotional subject to attempt. That's quite brave. Or exploitational. But I'd vote for brave, in this case. 8.

This is one of those images that rewards a longer look. You have communicated so much here; pretty amazing work. 9.

A solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being rich with excellant detail. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus and conversion to black and white. A demonstration of properly convieved and executed use of the zone system. A powerful and poignant portrait. A top ten image and a very strong contender for a ribbon. Well done.
