Yes! I totally agree! This is when I first started to pick up a camera...but considering I had no idea what I was doing I didn't do too bad lol Thanks for the critique! : )

This is one of my favorites so far. Still looking at your portfolio

I love this photo, feel you should have placed much higher but free studies can be brutal. Excellent job

You've captured the bride's face beautifully. The smile is great. But it's so tiny in this photograph. If you could crop a bit. As someone mentioned, you can loose some of the dress in this shot. The one thing that really pulls my eye away is the brick walls in the back. They seem distracting. Maybe a different vantage point would help get rid of that problem. Of course this is subjective and someone else may not see that as a problem. Maybe a smaller f-stop to put the background out of focus. Picture does need to be rotated so that it is vertical.

Good work

nice photo but could be improved quite easily.
She is a beautiful bride but the picture seems to be more about the dress.
Things I would change (and this is only my opinion - I'm not a pro...)
First, straighten the verticals then crop some from the top, bottom and left hand side. Make sure those windows are removed even if it means losing a little off the dress. (If the dress flows off the bottom of the picture it will still look impressive to the viewer, who may then think it was even longer.!)
Some of the details in the dress look blown out - these may be recoverable from a 'raw' file. If not it's a case of getting the exposure right at the time of capture. Good luck

I find the dress is over exposed. I would have liked to see more depth on her dress.

A very effective portrait that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being rich and detailed. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus in addition to being a terrific conversion. Well done.
