 Nightmare: something in the dark will hurt me if it sees me. I hide behind a gravestone or bush or tree which keeps the undefinable thing, maybe a Zombie, from seeing me even though it passes closely by.

The end of life is always a mystery and the potential of there being nothing at the end is frightening in and of itself. A very provocative image.
