Challenge: Nightmares II (Advanced Editing VII)
Collection: Challenges
Camera: Canon EOS-20D
Lens: Tamron SP AF 28-75mm f/2.8 XR Di for Canon
Location: Harwich Port, MA USA
Date: Apr 19, 2009
Aperture: f/5.6
ISO: 400
Shutter: 1/250
Date Uploaded: Apr 19, 2009

This image has been run through various flavors of Topaz Adjust several times. As best I can remember, it's got "detailed", then it's got "portrait smooth", then it's got "crisp", then it's got "smooth and flat", then it's got Topaz Denoise, then adamus sharpening applied to a merged layer.

The end result is to bring a since of huge, bursting *dimensionality* to the image. I'm not happy with the residual noise/artifcating in the dark areas of the tomato, but on the whole I'm pleased.

Here's the original:

great digital art, a mutant of a tomato indeed.

This is cool. It no longer looks like a tomato. Looks like a growing orb. The details and texture on the tomato give the impression of a kind of convergence into the center. Interesting!

I never thought of running a photo through multiple passes of contrary TA steps. Amazing outcome.

This is wonderful! What a creepy looking tomato, love the crazy processing.

What still amazes me about these processing changes,is that there is SO MUCH detail in the images we shoot that doesn't come out until these programs are applied. You can practically take your thumbprint off this image!
:-))

Or Attack of The Killer Tomatoes. Very different look and treatment of an object. Not particularly fearsome, but a wonderfull image that should be given some recognition as such.

Not a particularly interesting subject and too over processed for my liking.

Weird. I love the Lucis style editing. Not sure it'll go over well with everyone else. At first I thought it was a heart. LOL

good shot but the very heavy pp'ing is just too obvious.
