This fellow lives down the street from me. I cloned out all the telephone wires so it would look more vintage :-) Used my old picture overlay found here

Love those NM skies! Great vintage overlay makes this right out of the old west.

this is mad colleen .. i love the interesting process you've done and those amazingly chunky clouds ..
also it looks quite similar to a place about 5 mins drive from our home along a side road where they have a couple of horses in some paddocks with yards nearby .. doesnt look nearly as arty a place as this tho ..!!! :)

Something right out of the Wild, Wild West. Nice layering.

I really like the how the processing reacted to the textures of the horse and fence, but the sky seems strange to me. Did it look flat like that prior to processing? My eyes struggle with the photo, because the horizon seems to come forward to the same depth as the foreground sky.

That is one of your BEST layers. I use it all the time myself. I love the feeling of the Old West.

way out west
the horses whinny
behind the cedar fence
hoping for an apple
or even just
a drink from the trough

the cowboy's whistle
their lonely tune
of lost ladies
and long rides
into the sunset

Awesome! Very vintage, love that dramatic sky!! That horse looks so very lonely.
