a more poetic movement I cannot imagine.

severe crop. big boost of lightening in curves. cloned out a fleck in the background. reduce noise. then USM.

the main skill involved here was taking hundreds of photos.

I think this has to be one of my favorites of yours, though I don't remember seeing it before. Such awesome movement and color!

A surprise (to me) that this was not rated more highly. I think it's an underrated treasure.

(btw, I wasn't joking about wanting it on my wall - upload a print and I'll buy it)

This would hang in a museum for abstract art, you were under scored.

Really fine! Beautiful blur and color. Outstanding shot worthy of a large wall.

One of my 3 10's for this challenge. The color, blur, and texture in the background keep me engaged in the plight of this butterfly. Plus, it's got a great name.

Scored too low for sure. I love the colors and the blend of motion.

Absolutely beautiful portrait, transcends the photographic medium to become purely about shape and form and motion and nature. Magic!

Abstract in it's execution, there are two ways to view this image - negatively in the sense that it's undetailed and in no way, from a strict interpretation standpoint, indicates motion or the effects of motion. On the other hand, it's very abstract nature is indicative of motion and the colors and motion blue give it a certain feel, as it related to the challenge subject, that is a plus. In this kind of quandry, and given this reviewer's propensity to positively rate abstract images, the benefit of the doubt goes to the author. The blend of color and background are complimentary which is an artistic plus and can be viewed as a technical plus. Not necessarily to everyone's taste, this might break into the top twenty and possibly the top fifteen images if the commenters and reviewers give it chance by understanding the nature of impressionist imagery.

I'm in love with this picture (and not just because of the username either :p)
Artistic and beautifully soft, yet bursting with colour - the sort of thing I wouldn't mind hanging up on my wall.
