it seems like a great hand (I am not a poker expert myself), but actually, if you look carefully, these are not her cards, but her opponent's. So that may explain her somber face... :)

Brillant concept. I must make sure I never wear reflective glasses when playin cards.

Great shot. The glasses makes the shot. Is that a flush?

For years, he had brought Granny to all his games, and for years they had commended him for his dedication to the old woman. Had praised him for his loving and caring nature. Had honored him for the love he must have for the old woman.

Of course, eventually, they found him out, and his good name was forever sullied. It just amazed them that they hadn't figured it out for so long, nor why she always wore those mirrored glasses, even on rainy days, but they were just all the more angry for their shame.

Wow - 10 from me; this is just fantastic.

One of the six 10s I have given in this challenge and for me, the best of the bunch!

A wonderful portrait and creative although this also seems to be a repetitive idea across many forums other than DPC. A solid image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being rich with excellant detail. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. Well done.

Great character study. Well focused to see all of her features. Composition is tight and well thought out to capture the cards in the reflection of her glasses. Well done.
