I promise you, this is no shoehorn – I did the image especially for this challenge.
I had a feeling it would be risky but my idea was the broken glass symbolizes recycle and the wineglass symbolizes reuse. Sorry it didn’t come over to you that way.
I really appreciate the many comments, they're very helpful.

Hey moron, you spell peculiar this way.

Your a moron. there weren't even 100 entries in this one.

PS - (bubeltruble), I would like to know how you knew this was Irene M's picture, and did it affect your vote. I noticed it was during the challenge, and was not added in after because it was not edited. Is this some new way of cheating? I don't understand how anyone could possibly know how this is one particular persons picture when there are thousands of members on this site.

This on the other hand is pecular. At least don't mention the person by name, but I doubt 1 vote changed anything.

Congrats Irene. This is a wonderful picture. No doubt if you would have used a green liquid, this would have definitely been a top 10. However, this goes to show that you cannot do well in a challenge even if the picture is within challenge description. The title of this picture is the only thing I see that has anything to do with green. Other than that, this picture does not even meet the challenge description. This picture should have been voted on by challenge description, not title. This should have not done better than 50 percintile in this challenge, as it does not meet the challenge. When are the voters going to vote on challenge descriptions and the thought that goes into them instead of a good picture with only a title that meets the challenge description? This is the kind of thing that is discouraging people from entering a challenge, and causing them to leave this site and go to others. Sorry, but this pic should not even be in the top 100.

Beautiful picture. I like the lighting.
If it weren't for the title, I wouldn't of known how it fit into the category.

I nice standard wine glass shot. Pretty loose tie to the theme, though.

Love the clarity of this, but think it's a bit of a stretch for the challenge. 7

Could have used a little help in seeing the broken glass on the way to the recycle bin. I agree, wine glasses need to be reused as much as possible. )
Liked the reflections.

Wonderful lighting and colors. A bit of a shoehorn though...
