Of all the images I have entered on DPC, the final score on this one is a big disappointment.

However, the image is not. It remains one of my favs, with one of my favourite models.

It was a tough challenge, with fabulous images, but I believe it still should have finished with a better score.

Ahhhh.....Que Sera Sera!

i wondered when voting if it was your photograph or judi's ..
i was expecting it to be in the top 20 .. its a fantastic portrait and i love the title ..

a gorgeous portrait of a girl nearly a woman ..
her expression seems slightly sad and slightly cheeky ..

The background looks a bit funky around her hair, not a smooth transition. Lovely girl, great pose, the editing after the fact, rough.

A delicate image that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it has significant impact being rich with excellant detail in addition to being an excellant example of the use of the zone system. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. A top ten image and a very strong contender for a ribbon. Well done.
