Did this a couple of days ago in anticipation of this challenge. Converted to BW in Silver Efex and then did a rusty red/brown overlay.

Ghostly was my first thought, before even seeing the title. I like this b&w and its grittyness!

I do like this - the base photo lends itself well to the overlay treatment.

Ohmygosh! That is fabulous! I hope you are saving big, printable files of all of these wonderful overlay images you do -- because I really think someday you will get around to having a gallery. Wow!

What is Silver Efex? Is it something you can buy as a plug in? Has an almost 1500's oil look with the dark splotches on the daisy. Classic look.

Twirly, swirly, so much fun! I've been looking at too many ultrasounds lately, LOL! It kind of looks like one behind the flower. (Did I tell you I'm going to be a grandmother?).

I love the arrangement of those curled petals in front, looks like the flower is waving hello! The rusty overlay over b&w looks wonderful, adds the perfect amount of aged color.
