I actually did this piece a while ago, but since I just realised that it was the first of May today, I thought I would wack this one in for today and get cracking on some new ones. I'm curious about what people think because I am not a photographer...my background is visual arts but most of my work is done using images that I collect. I often leave the edges visible so that the viewer as a sense of the constuctional aspect of the work.

This captivates me .... it feels like the tree of hope.

The impression I get is a spiritual one. The tree representing some sort of duality, perhaps virtue and vice. I say that because the roots look very much like serpents and the gold plates held high righteously. I like the technique you used here.

WOW! Am I ever going to love having a month of YOUR images to study and enjoy! This is fascinating and beautiful. So much to look at and appreciate as far as the design, the colors, the border.

And welcome to dpChallenge, by the way! Digital art is the rave these days, and with so many photographers combining their photography with their artistry, there's often not much of a line between photography and the post procesed art created with it anymore. So I look forward to seeing more of your stuff :)

Very impressive, I think that the thumbnail size doesn't do it justice, as there is so much detail. Is that the 'willow pattern' from a dinner set in the windows? I envy your processing skills.

Totally surreal. Like modern art you'd see in an upscale gallery. So intriguing. It's so fun to see how people interpret this style of editing and what they get as a final result! I've NEVER done or thought of anything like it. I admire your creativity.

wow, this is so very interesting and I like how you did leave the edges...makes the eye "wander" over the image...your overlay is very interesting in and of it self...are you going to put the overlay in the texture file on DP...very, very good
