I renewed my membership to enter into this challenge. My best friend and ministry partner (and regular model for challenges) Dave announced to our church Sunday that he and his family will be moving to Philadelphia in 5 weeks. This image depicts one of the emotions that I feel about the whole thing. I care for this brother of mine more than any other friend in my life. I didn't really know that a friendship like this was possible. Now I know I am not losing a friend - he is just moving away - still sucks though and I will miss him dearly. I thank God that he gave me an opportunity to feel this way about a person.

I love you Dave!

Glad to see you again. Yes life has ups as well as downs. You have a few friends here, too.

I might have scored this lower had I read your notes, cuz I totally thought you just put yourself in a headlock and passed out. ;-)

Sorry to hear about your friend moving away. At least you have friends. :) God bless ya, Tim!

Lighting, position and perspective made this an excellent capture. The blending of the dark t-shirt and back ground add to the mood of the shot. Well executed.

I like the light and the tones, so technically good, but I think his lower arm would be better with the wrist bent so we could see his mouth. Should be high scoring!

Very nicely lit portrait. Can almost sense the despair, too bad you're known as such a jolly character!

We all know the feeling sometime or other. The picture conveys it beautifully

Very effective positioning of his arms and use of side lighting. The subdued reflections of the lighted areas add to the composition while also revealing details of the table surface. An excellent image that also tells a story.

Wonderful side lighting. Maybe a tad overexposed on the skin.

Very effective on an emotional level. Just shy of depressing, it effectively demonstrates low points in everyone's life - very comtemplative imagery. A competant technical and artistic success, it does it's job with relation to it's title. The author should be congratulated on presenting a side of live not often seen. Well done.

Beautiful light. Might've been cool to have the guy looking to the left. Just a thought.
