This shot to me deserves a ribbon, I'm hoping it wins. Freakin amazing shot, the lighting, motif, and grittiness tell an amazing story. Great shot!

There are two ways this image could have gone - horribly wrong or perfectly right. Fortunately, it's the better of the two - the dark rich detail, concentration of the craftsman and the very subtle lighting effect of the grinder is impressive and well thought out. Curiously enough, there are two images here that would have worked with a slightly different crop - either one would have worked as well as this one. Equally impressive is the lighting - the right on the edge of over done white is excellant and gives the image significant impact. A potential top ten image and a possible ribbon winner. Well done.

I only pick on the tight crop at the top. It's a small defect. Well done. 7
