Inyanga is a Zulu word meaning Healer, a healer by means of 'Magic' so I hope there is enough magic in this shot to nail a nice high score.

est score - 6.8
dream score - I think this may go pretty high....

A big special thanks to my beautiful model Zhane who is just 14 years old and is hoping for a career in the modeling industry, let me tell you, this girl is special, she is a natural and knows exactly how much to give, I look forward to working with her again real soon.

while reading the other comments, I saw every adjective that came to my mind when looking at this marvelous photo...haunting, stunning, alluring, beautiful....like another person who commented...I would have never guessed your model was only 14. A simply beautiful shot....Kevin

Hi Mak, great shot - however one little nit pick - on my wide gamut monitor there is a very noisy silver of green shading to the left side of the model, just near her veil. Cant see it on a standard monitor so guess its not a problem - and you did ribbon .. well done.

Dark Beauty in "The Village" would be a nice title too

Suggestion?...a little less light would have been interesting to see so the shimmer of light around the eyes and lips would be more prominant, while the figure is in shadows.

Very pretty though...

Nice lighting. It draws the viewer into her eyes and mouth. Well done.

In general, an elegant portrait which is very powerful and nicely composed. However, the highlights on the lips and reflections in the eyes are not necessarily a positive - a more matte type lip stick would have reduced the reflection and the resultant glare. Same issue with the eyes, as the reflections detract from the image's impact - in particular on the right where it's located right over the pupil. On the other hand, the lighting is very effective in conveying a senes of mystery and intrigue. Given the minor highlight issue, this is a very worthy entry into the challange and should place high.

very podium worthy. dont like the out of focus nose and cut eye, so cannot give you 10 but still 8

This is really beautiful. What distracts me about this photo is that her nose is too soft, when it should'nt be. I think this will ribbon!

This has more than a wow factor. Everything about it is perfect. Almost 3-D. I feel as though I could reach and touch that velvet shroud and make her blink. WOWZA
