Thanks for the voting. Trying to be objective about it, i thought i had a better angle than Marac's blue ribbon version:

But then it wasnt "original" in a fair few people's minds i imagine.

I tried to bring the HDR towards a sketch look without "ruining" it... but maybe those two points made people vote a bit more conservatively. Still - 2nd place black and white isnt bad eh? ;)

Thanks Marac for the idea!

(and yes the MC Escher reference was intentional - look up "Relativity" and "escher" and you will find *that* sketch...)

I had predicted this one to win, but maybe that's because I'm a big Excher fan.
Congrats on a great image, and very interesting post processing.

There was a similar photo recently that I quite liked but I believe this B&W is even better. Among best of show.

there was a sequel to Labyrinth? :)
06/05/2009 10:24:08 AM
The angle here is even better than in "Labyrinth" [thumb]//www.dpchallenge.com/image.php?IMAGE_ID=777758[/thumb]. The processing is great. Escher would have been proud. (not voting)

Not enough superlatives for me to describe!
06/04/2009 03:54:47 AM
For a real scene this comes pretty damn close to the original especially the distortion and the graphic look. However, the multiple gravity aspect could have been better illustrated had there been people at those other levels. Nevertheless well done.
