This is shot is really works for this challenge and I think that the shallow depth of field is a good choice. However the flowers in the background are really distracting but otherwise a good shot.

I wished that the face of the real enemy in this photo could be seen, the parrot isn't much of an enemy, more of a pray

Like the idea. But the picture could be better. The out of focus cat head is dominating this picture making it bad.

love the shot! the yellow in the background is very distracting--could you have desaturated it a bit without affecting the bird, perhaps?

Eeek I'd be worried about that, especially with my cat. Ooof..

Gorgeous parrot there though, makes me wish I could have one as a pet but with my current cat.. not an option.
