I met this man while walking down the street. He was breathing very hard and stopped there to rest. I approached him and asked if he was allright. He answered that he's not ok and that he has asthma and that he came to Belgrade (the capital city) from some village to do some medical tests. He spent most of his money and didn't have enough left for the bus ticket to go back home. Then he treated the authorities and government with some fine words.

So much cool stuff here. Poor old guy, Mercedes, fit young quick woman. And good going with the wide angle. Means you were right in his face and so are we. I wish him the best.

Wonderful. The youthful energy on the left contrasts with his age and health. Words were not needed to see that.

Most excellent. Love the story that you wrote - but the picture tells 100 words in itself. Great job.

Fabulous wide angle and I love your processing. Great story, of course. Looking forward to seeing (learning) more from you.

Deb, this included the Platino action but also a lot of other adjustments to get the toning right (like some dodge&burn). The trick is to edit the colour version right (adjustment layers with selective colours, saturation and such) and then convert to black and white and play with sel. colours again (but this time gray, white and black of course).
Getting the shot first helps a lot ;-)

Very strong image and your story adds to that. Nice light touch with the action (I think it is) - I need to work on getting it this clean and detailed. Need to get the shot first, though, huh? Did you buy him a bus ticket or was that expensive? I like how despite his circumstances, he's wearing a very nice jacket. He has his pride.

It's a strong image of a frail person. His body language and position says it, and the blur of the people going by accentuates his frailness.

Unfortunately I was broke as well. But I think he will get a ride for free, that was just a metaphore, he was really bitter.

The frustration shows in his face. Tells much of the story before reading your narrative.
