AT&T (now Sony) Building by Philip Johnson. This photo
was taken in a narrow passageway outside the atrium of the AT&T Building. The right stone wall of the passageway is highly polished and reflects AT&T; behind is another highly polished wall with two additional reflections of AT&T. I took several photos in this passageway but used this one because the clouds added visual interest.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

Initial impression: Wish I'd taken it. Lovely, and would have been an easy 9 from me in voting.

Technical: Great use of ambient light, pov works beautifully, comp could arguably be seen as a little centred but this kind of shot calls for it. Wonderful use of negative space. PP seems to be just fine.

Artistic: Actually another glance at the top part of pic reveals a slight list to the right, which enhances the sensation of vertigo. Like the way the sky seems to form a giant '1'.

FWIW/Overall: the only change I'd make would be one pass with sharpen edges, after unsharp mask, just to give the tops of the buildings just that little more sharpness.

Very good shot, you just finished out of the ribbons but in the top 10, and here that is nothing to sneeze at!

Feel free to PM me with any questions,

Susan

Nice perspective... IMO, the shadow & highlights adjustment is overdone, that leads to lack of contrast..... Raj

Exposure is perfect. Very abstract. I wonder how it would look in BW.

a little more contrast would give this more oomph but pleasing just the same

Very nice shot. Looks like a puzzle, and I like how the buildings form a border all the way around.
