Taken at Allegany State Park during our annual stay at the Green House of Fun. This was shot at the Stone Tower. Basically a two floor stone tower with alot of grafitti on it. Had it originally some redish tint - but when I saw that b&w counted in the challenge description I went that route. I didnt shoot it for this challenge. Just thought the location looked neat with the wide angle lens.

I had hoped that this would score well - but i really didnt expect a response like this. A bummer that the vote count is so low. Anyways - I am very glad to see this image do so well. It will probably get printed out on canvas and put in my new office.

I see that Kiwiness is int he challenge and probably scoring very well. Maybe i can pull off a yellow. Its been a while since I ribboned, and to do it with a shot that I didnt shoot for DPC would be very cool.

I totally agree with Tate's commenbt below.
The Cartier-Bresson forum link photo came to my mind, too.

It almost looks like a prison or dead end in the darkness below. Having a subject always helps. Thank your son for this Fathers Day present. A smooth skinned human against the rough textures of life is a good contrast.

Fabulous composition! There could be a million reasons why the child is sitting there, which sets my imagination going (and I love that in an image). I am amused by the Croc footwear in this setting ;-)

A fine mood, exquisite texture and lighting, and positively delicious perspective. Little boy lost and no where to go at the end of the stairs. No where at the top either, from what you've given us. Excellent B&W conversion. If I were a betting woman, I'd say that's a young Too on the steps. Definitely a departure, and an excellent one, from some of your other work. Bordering on nixter-esque.

Very interesting and harsh perspective juxtaposed with the innocent child. Gorgeous execution, well done.
