I'm sorry I gave you a 6 where it should have been a 9, I'll man up and say I completely missed this one... maybe i was getting frustrated from the host of other images that didn't fit the challenge and I stopped looking closely, but that 6 didn't hurt as much as those 1's :(

Ok, I'm sorry I must comment again! I scrolled up to exit the page and realized how badly you were robbed.
07/29/2009 08:24:44 PM
This is BLUE! I dont think most people noticed the illusion. It was very subtle, and in my opinion the best in this challenge.
07/29/2009 01:40:47 PM
Well, I saw it, and it was worth a 7 from me, but I did think at the time "Boy, you gotta be looking for this to find it", so.... If I hadn't *wanted* to see the challenge relevance I'd never have noticed this at 720 pixels on my hi-res screen. Great shot, shoulda' scored better.

I'm with kingskingdom. I got a comment once that a little tiny white spec on my subject's fingernail was distracting -- yet they missed a magazine on this one! Next time you'll know to make sure there's a dust spot or something on the part you want them to be sure to see.

Sorry you really did get robbed.
07/29/2009 08:04:28 AM
LOL, next time don't do such a good job and you'll score better. :-/
07/29/2009 07:05:12 AM
Absolutely robbed. Blue ribbon all the way.
07/29/2009 06:39:37 AM
should've ribboned. t'was a 9 from me, but as i said took a wee while to notice it.......... fun though
07/29/2009 06:21:52 AM
Should 'a won a ribbon, my personal fav.took about 2 minutes to realize the photo within the photo.

I gotta admit, I had to stare at the image for ages until I figured out what was going wrong. It just didn't click until I tried to figure out what the two breaks were at the top and bottom of the head!

Brilliant image, like you say, too good for your own good!
07/29/2009 06:11:10 AM
Thats awesome work.
07/29/2009 05:49:05 AM
Clearly the best in challenge. I am glad that I went back and looked through the entries a couple of times. I underscored you by only giving you a 9. Congrats on the best shot in the challenge.
07/29/2009 01:32:55 AM
you got screwed
07/29/2009 01:13:15 AM
It's amazing how voters can spot a spec of dust or a bit of noise at 100 yards, but didn't spot the magazine! Very under rated should have been a ribbon
07/29/2009 12:44:03 AM
Dang! I didn't see it until I read the last comment! Too good! Can I give you a retroactive 10?
07/29/2009 12:36:39 AM
I'm so sad for you. Your work was so good that the voters missed the magazine. You should have gotten the blue. =(
07/29/2009 12:33:19 AM
Should've been in the top ten at the very least, seems from your comments that most voters didn't notice.
07/29/2009 12:21:45 AM
Wow, I will be the first to admit that I totally missed the magazine in this shot. I even spent an extra moment looking this shot over because I liked the pose so much. Even after viewing it for the third time, I did not notice the magazine until I read the comments and looked closer. Anyway, great shot, excellent blend, and I formally apologize for voting this image lower than I should have...

I think your mark will suffer a bit potentially as the magazine blends too much with your background.
07/28/2009 08:09:53 AM
Nice photo but not sure where the seemingly unrelated objects come into this composition.
07/28/2009 01:05:50 AM
She's cute, but how does this meet the challenge topic?
07/26/2009 12:32:07 PM
So very subtle and well done. Congrats ahead of time :)
07/23/2009 08:43:12 PM
for a moment, I thought there is nothing but when I look at closely I found that the face photograph is actually a photograph :)
07/22/2009 01:48:32 PM
Incredible work! It's so good that initially I didn't notice that she was holding something in front of her face. I'm predicting the blue ribbon for you. 10

It took me a minute to spot it. Good work! However, I don't know if these are two objects that normally don't belong together?
07/22/2009 08:31:20 AM
great image, not sure how this hits the challenge...
07/22/2009 06:10:45 AM
not really
07/22/2009 06:08:32 AM
ahhhh I have just noticed the image the model is holding.
At a glance I couldn't the the relevance to the challenge but now I do... good work, maybe too good for the 2 second voter.
07/22/2009 05:48:04 AM
I like the way you thought this out. One thing really disturbs me, that is that your background is so divided. You need to have a sloped background paper to do this kind of photo.
07/22/2009 03:50:04 AM
very good! I actually was about to rate it low because I didn't notice the cutout face, so you blended well!
07/22/2009 12:22:56 AM
OK...I get it! It took me a few minutes! Well done.
07/22/2009 12:20:26 AM
Took a while to notice.........Some voters may struggle.....! But once I did, love it, 9 from me.....
