 The Cousin Itt character is based the Addams Family TV show I grew up with, and I thought the pose had a feeling similar to that in the famous Whistler's Mother, more formally titled Arrangement in Grey and Black: The Artist's Mother.

This is the back of my head with added glasses, shot in a mirror over my shoulder, using the flip/tilt LCD screen on the Canon to frame the shot while holding the camera upside-down and backwards.

-Noise-reduction with PictureCooler
-Isolate Red Channel to Grayscale
-Curve adjustment
-Duotone mode: Cool Gray 8 and Black
-USM at 12%/48 dia/TH = 0
-USM at 88*/1.3 dia/TH = 5
-Crop
-Create oval selection from center
-Invert selection and feather 32 pixels three times
-Apply Curve adjustment through selection
-Flatten image
-RGB mode
-Resize
-USM at 66%/0.6 dia/TH = 5 (applied twice)
-Sample image midtones to set background color
-Add 2-pixel light border
-Add black border
-SaveAs JPEG at quality 9/10 = 190KB
