Challenge: The Username Challenge III (Advanced Editing VII)
Collection: Subjects
Camera: Canon EOS-350D Rebel XT
Lens: Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 USM Macro
Location: Tranquility, NJ
Date: Jul 23, 2009
Aperture: 3.5
ISO: 400
Shutter: 125
Galleries: Animals, Black and White
Date Uploaded: Jul 26, 2009

slight rotate, slight crop, calculationg to b/w, curves to bump it a little brighter and contrastier. I had other candidates, but I really loved the black and white conversion on this one, and the texture of the door.

This was shot on shutter priority. The light was low, so I set it to the slowest speed that will still guarantee against camera shake.

Hello from the Critique Club!!

I am not sure why I joined the Critique Club when all I seem to get are these amazing shots. It is making my job very hard.

I love the mood that you have set with the blacks and whites. The grain really pops out and brings out more details on the building and especially the door. The different textures you have going on here are splendid. THe buttery white of the goat, is in excellent contrast to the rest of the shot.

The ISO being at 400 helped along with the SP setting. The only thing is I would crop just a tad bit off teh top of your shot so that the full attention is on the goat and his surrounding area. There is too much black at the top and I am searching for details there.

I can see this in a shop selling like hotcakes, well done!

This is as good as goat-shooting gets. Give yourself a red ribbon.

What a joke. This is sooo underrated. I love everything about it. So much for an artful eye around here huh?

Yeah, definitely captured spooky feeling. I wonder how long it took him to create that hole in the door!

Probably my favourite in this challenge. You do this thing with animals and edifice orifices, downright spooky, kid.

Great image, loving the high contrast black and white, the texture and details in the wall, step and door and of course, the little goat!

If I were to wager a guess, I'd say this belongs to the guy who shoots goats about as often as I shoot pigeons... Or it is a tribute to that guy. One of my top pics for this challenge.

Love this. There is another goat shot similar to this that I like as well. Great tones and composition.
