I saw this idea, not originally mine, and I loved it at the time. When I saw this challenge topic I instantly thought of giving it a try. Thank you to njsabs2323's husband for coming to my rescue when my car died at the market :-)

8.5.09 Holy cow! Is about the only thing I can say - shocked this did so well after watching the score fall all week long. Started out with a 7.6 with only 12 or so votes but it plummeted from there :-) I know the faults of it - should learn how to construct a light box to minimize reflections without a doubt. But this squeaked in at 8:49 after coming home from camping and then being rescued after my car died at the market in 105 degree heat LOL. This is how I wish I could have submitted:

The winning image looks 100x more natural than the post challenge edit with the reflections removed. I agree with the comments below. Your first image was definitely a winner. Reflections are a good thing.

I have to tell you that I really like the relfections, I prefer the winning image to the one without reflections. Congrats on a well done photo! Keep up the good work!

Ah jeez woman no apologies necessary! You ribbon, you revel in it! (At least I would, should that unlikely event ever occur) :-)

Thank you all so much! I am shocked that this ribboned with such a low score :-) Guess you never can tell the ways of DPC :-) I wish it wasn't basic editing so I could have cloned out the reflections - I really need to get a lightbox one of these days LOL And there was a divot in the cherry that I would have loved to fix but when I flipped it around the heart was not as evident and I really wanted to highlight that.

Thank you all again for your nice comments both during and after the challenge.

I laughed at the humor here ... and gave it a ten.

This is awsome! Those whole cherries look great and I love the way the stems are shaped into a heart. The image depicts the concept of life and death in a very simple but powerful way.
