This is Satri, one of three Sumatran Tiger cubs at Perth zoo. He is a year old and very shy. In order to get to his dinner he had to go through a tunnel close to the glass and did not like being under observation and having his picture taken.

Opened in Camera Raw, tweaked exposure, white balance, blacks, contrast and clarity all in camera raw, cropped, selective colour layer increased magenta in the yellow channel and decreased cyan and magenta in white channel, resized, usm twice, first 50% 0.9 then 30% 0.6, saved for web.

Well thanks everyone, this has been the first time I have ever considered the possibility that I would get a ribbon. Thanks for a new personal best anyway.

RIP Satri, thanks for a great shot mate.

Hi from the Critique Club,

You asked for your shot to have an in depth comment from a member of the Critique Club.

Excellent shot!!!!!!!!!!!

There is not a lot to say about this shot as it is really good. A little more focus on the eyes ,,maybe, a tiny bit more saturation to bring out those oranges. Bar that excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I would love to see what you could do with this shot in advanced editing!

Well done on a great shot and an excellent placement

My what huge feet she has! Great shot - she does indeed look both displeased and wee bit unsure of herself. Congrats on an outstanding score and placement, and a top ten!

Great facial expression - pity this is 'Basic Editing' as this could have been even stronger with extra pp work.

Please tell me that you were using a long lens! It is a shame that fern is there. I would have given you full marks if the eyes were 100% sharp, the focus point appears to be on the bridge of the nose.
