In the process of learning more about depth of field I took several shots this week. I came up with the idea of shooting a long country driveway to emphasize the depth aspect. In addition to almost running my car off the road several times, I came up with this scene. I love the colours and think that it will do well.

Wow, very simple yet great shot. Almost perfect for this challenge. With a little work tweaking this photo I think you could have a winner here. Good job!

Cool idea and good DOF. The color's a little funky tho, the green's just a tad unnatural

I think some of the right should've been cropped off to center out the path.

I've by-passed this one a couple of times - I guess I'd better try and write something about it :-) can't make up my mind, you see. The composition, other than those extra leaves/branches upper left and right about which I'm not sure, is fine, but I would say that perhaps the definition of those trees needs work - dodging/burning perhaps, something just to bring out the depth of light and shade there. The light you've chosen is really quite blank (which suits the compositional idea), but there's so little here to hold the eye in terms of texture, of variety of subject (the grass, the road and the sky are all near solid areas of colour). Perhaps it needs a deeper air of mystery, which at the moment is missing somewhat. 6

The DOF is nice, but the image is lacking interest. The sky has no drama, the pines and grass are very constant... I like the composition in some ways, but I think the only way this would work for me is if there had been a dramatic sky.
