Thanks for all of the great comments and votes! I really appreciate it. I agree with some of the comments about how the photo would have more impact with a driver model. I found the bus doors already open as it sat in the school parking lot on a holiday. BUT, there was a a big decal on the side stating that it was illegal to enter a school bus without authorization and would result in a large fine if caught. I'm basically a big wus when it comes to pushing the envelope for my photos, so I settled for setting up my tripod just outside the open door!

The angle is excellent capturing the sense of awe of a school kid! Congrats on the HS!

Ooooooh. . .I love it! I can so feel that overwhelming sense of angst at what lies ahead for a wee little one as he faces that big entry to the bus for the first time. AWESOME job!

Good subject and good angle. I think it would be a more powerful image if there was someone in the drivers seat.

This photo evokes emotion - reminding the viewer of a time when he/she was much shorter and the bus was both intimidating and inviting. Excellent use of perspective. I wonder if a model in the driver's seat looking down on the camera would have increased the impact.

There are many "bus" photos, this one's point of view is the most great.
