I have been flat out all week and wasn't going to enter, when Barb reminded me that my ladybug image looked like an upside down 9. It then dawned on me that this was an image that I could quickly put together without delaying my other work too much.

Unfortunately the only ladybug to be found was a tiny, yellow ladybug that disappeared in the cardboard lines.

The fellow I ended up using was the only bug my husband could find. A bit small, but he is there nonetheless.

I have no idea how this will score....I predict a 4.8, but hope for a 6.0.

We will see.

But thankyou Barb for giving me a kick up the butt with this image.

You are mistaken. I did not whine about lack of comments on this challenge.

nice idea, but the bug is barely visible, and the lighting is a bit blown out for my taste.

I don't really understand the purpose of the bug in this picture...

This one needs some work. The lighting is pretty harsh and the subject is a stretch for the challenge, in my opinion. I see the nine, but your title suggests that I should be looking for bugs instead of numbers. I also see a lit of noise, most likely from the harsh lighting. 3.
