Heida, what a really intriguing shot! Beatifully done and if more voters in here appreciated photographic art, this would have and should have ribboned! :)

But....top 10! Congrats on a fabulous piece of art!!!

Awesome effect. You don't see works like this very often. I really think you are on to something. It absolutely captures the essence of fire in the human form. Too hot to handle.

Love the effect on this, and actually thought it might be one of kiwiness's but something was not quite Gary-ish. Nowwww I understand :)

The only thing that didn't feel quite right to me was the crop through the middle of the nipple. Just a weeee bit either way...

Wonderful effect. The tight crop is like a box just ready to explode.

Ohmy! I'm so surprised this didn't ribbon. It has such an exotic feel. Very unique and beautiful!

I commented on this during voting using my iphone but I had no way to post. Anyway, The pose, the crop, the prop, the color, the artistry of it - certainly worthy of a gallery or magazine cover. I love that you played with the movement of the camera - a good example of serendipity at work.

heida, I didn't vote in the challenge, but this would have definitely been my top pic. it is so different from the standard nude shot. I love the ethereal feel to this, and the feathers are a perfect touch. Congrats on a fantastic image!

Should have ribboned - this is beautiful and mesmerizing. This would command a very good price at any gallery. Hopefully you'll keep having fun enough to keep entering now and again! Good to see your work.

I am beyond shocked that this amazing photo is not in the top three. Not only wonderfully photographed technically but the creativity of this photo places it in a category of pure brilliance.

This one stood out for me. With the blur and and lighting effect (I think it was the white balance that caused the lighting effect). So creative, had this picked for the front page. Great image!

Beautiful picture, but I think you cropped it too much on the top, right and bottom. It would look better without half the breast and left arm cropped, as well as showing all of the hands, especially the one holding the feathers. Same goes for the top of the head, since the red hair really adds to the picture.

WOW, I'm going to hope this is top spot, definitely the strongest image thus far in this challenge.

Awesome shot! Probably a bit too artsy for DPC to do well, but I hope I am wrong, at least I like it, this is my fave shot in the challenge and I want to see it on the front page for a week!

This is easily my second favorite in this challenge, if not for the chopped off head, and left side of your model, it might have been much more difficult to choose my overall favorite.

One of only two 10's I've given ... such a classy shot, not tacky, not a shot that relies on showing some skin ... it reminds me of dancing girls in the first half of the 1900's

For me, I wish her fingers would've been cropped, giving the effect of birds falling rather than her holding the feathers. But having said that, wow, love the picture! :)

A nicely presented study of light and erotica. Not very deep, but such things seldom are. lighting might be just a tad harsh on the upper chest, detracting a little from the fire like tones.
