thanks for the comments, everybody. just for the record, the greenish-brown turd-like object in front of admiral ackbar is a dolmade, a stuffed grape leaf. ambrosia's of rockville, maryland does an excellent job making them. their baklava (sp?) is also to die for.

Funny photo! I know Admiral Ackbar, I'm a big fan of Star Wars and although I didn't had these action toys when I was a child this photo reminds me when I was younger when I was playing with my dinner instead of eating it ;-) Good lighting. The DOF is in my opinion a little too narrow, because the green object to the left (belonging to the dinner) could be sharper. -stephan

Too soft and don't like the back ground. Missing "wow", focus, good lighting - of course this is my opinion. Doesn't have that appeal for me. 5 is tops for me, but that's not too bad. PTL

Not as sharply focused as could be. Playful though. Grayce

Whatever is on the plate sure looks out of this world :-) Actually the DOF is good in this shot, however, the subject matter and lighting are lacking interest, and the focus is off a little on ackbar.

Colours all see relatively the same.

Nice close-up, however the brown thing on the left is pretty distracting and kinda looks like a piece of turd. What is it? White balance might have been adjusted to bring out the colour in the subject. Jacko.

Dinner does not look very appealing from this angle. The little guy is cute though. Looks like this was taken at a resteraunt by the placemats. His head blends in quite a bit with the orangish background wall. The lighting seems ok, and the cropping/framing are good. Focus on the little figure is good too. Good luck in the challenge. ~Hbunch7187~
