I am asking for trouble here entering this nature shot into Low Key.
Anyway the histogram is mostly on the left so at least some semblance of low key technique is being used.

Your post processing in this shot is amazing. The details in the Great Blue Heron's feathers is spot on. Great technically and you have given the bird a much different look than many of the Heron shots I have seen.

Really well done - love the intensity this image gives off - i actually gave it a 7 because it just seemed a bit oversharpened in the feathers on first inspection. This seems to happen to me as well with bird shots when I try to fit them into 640 and 150kb. I would love to see this one in all its glory at full res - I am sure it is even more stunning.

Wow! I'm wondering how you shot this. Great detail. How on earth did you manage this background? 9

Superb, and as traditional wildlife shots aren't received well here (unless they are stupendous), not as well as the plethora of studio, architecture, landscape, I hope you get a great result for your effort.

Very nice image. It seems that the heron (?) is mainly in midtones with few highlights... low key should have little or no midtones, so although this may not be "true" low key, it garners bonus points for being such a strong photo.
