Thought it was kind of fun to make the color shot the sad one and the B&W happy. Back to the 50's nostalgia sort of thing, or back in Kansas with the family ;-) I can see arguments for processing this in several different variations on the theme (color-happy, color red=angry, use three different duotones in conventional or contrary mood colors ...). It'll be interesting to see what everyone else thinks.

Arranged so his shirt flows from one shot to the next. The middle shot was supposed to be a neutral expression but he looks kind of angry to me. Really he was suppressing a smirk.

PP - 3 JPG shots, cropped, one duotone, one with saturation reduced, reduced saturation to 0% on yellow in all 3 to grey out background, increased contrast, sharpened, added border.

Perhaps the smiley face should have some colour and the sad face the greyscale?

Interesting concept, and nice pictures. I think the left picture would have been nice in B&W, as the tears might go better with 'drab' colors.

Interesting concept and use of coloration. I think the offset panes add to this image - neatly aligned would contradict the title.

I can't help thinking that this would be better with the sad face in monotone and the happy face in colour. Nicely done otherwise
