..."campy" Don? And I'm not much on cropping, I frame in cam though I did nip a little off the side of the lamp shot in post.

You're probably right Bear...I'm in a bit of a mood this morning...

I used the LB on the two images without the woman. For the image of the woman, I used the 50mm at 1.8...I thought it went well with the LB shots.

...crystals + lace + bra strap + purple/yellow = feminine

Embrace your inner girlie Don.

Hmmm... I really don't get why this did not score much higher. DPC sometimes misses the boat when scoring the more artistic shots. I am looking at the contest entries for the first time ... this one just does not belong at number 64. No where near I think. I just love the colors, composition, overall warm feel. Your use of the black border is right on IMO. Outstanding work!

I totally enjoyed the mood in this TT. I would NOT be watching DVD's with her...
You were robbed. This is an emotive and sensual set of photo's and I hazard a guess that were it entered elsewhere with only 5 judges it would do very well indeed.

There's no way for me to know if it's cropping or framing so I usually just say cropping.

crystals + lace + bra strap + purple/yellow = campy

your mileage may vary. I still gave you a 7.

Damn anonymous challenges... I never know who I'm messing with.

I threw a 9 at this and it did stick too. Now I an wondering why I didn't sense a touch of RKT in this before. I guess I don't have to tell you that it was one of my favourites.

I'm sorry it didn't break a six, should be on the front page in my opinion.

A pleasure to look at.

Wonderful textures, great light and mood - and I really like the framing.
Excellent work!

Lovely work! Great use of the LB also.

Regarding Don's "daring crop" remark, just substitute "framing" for "crop" to take his meaning. The shots are each framed up in an unconventional way. I think he didn't use "framing" in the comment because it might have been construed to mean "how you framed all 3 together"...

Agree with Jutilda - totally underrated. A real piece of Art, and not just Eye-Candy.

Totally underrated as usual but in a way, isn't that a compliment to your artistry and not one who stays in the box. I think it's awesome and it got an 8 from me.

This combination works well as a group, and the cool thing is, each of these photos could stand on their own quite easily. Well done!

Nicely done. This is a campy effect, but you do it well, and with daring crops.

Rainy day, visible sensual neck and bra strap, soft lit lampshade...can only mean one thing...a night in with DVD's and popcorn! :)
Nice work and exquisite colours and lighting. Top and bottom left photo's left hand frame is lost, I might have swopped them to the right and the right image to the left but that might have lost your progressive mood meaning. Small gripe :)

Kudos to you for breaking out the Lensbaby (this is a lensbaby, right?). A really evocative melancholy set of images here - I like how you contrast the blue tones on the left with the warmer yellow on the right. 9

A set of image that might not stand well on their own, but together they combine to set a mood. Nicely done.

This is really unique, original. Not a fan of the purple tones in the hair.

This image looks a little out of focus, color seems off, and it looks as though there is some issue with the lens. In other words, this is a fantastic capture. The items and pose of the woman speaks "modern". How you achieved this look with contemporary equipment is a tribute. Nicely done. I hope others share this point of view.

Interesting juxtaposition of subjects. I like how you've blended colors at the edge of one pane into the next pane. IMO, the right pane is a bit too off from the others colorwise, which makes it stand out like right half / left half of image. Overall the image matches the title nicely.
