I grew up in IL and this just makes me feel great memories of walking in the autumn leaves. The path of the trail as it exits the images keeps one on suspense as to what is around that corner. Wonderful light and perfect composition makes this an image to be very proud of.

| Gorgeous shot. I think what makes this beautiful is the little patch of sunlight. It's like hope from the darker regions of the forest. (I love autumns in Illinois.) |

| Far out! Your first blue! This was one of only two 10's I gave; the other finished 72nd :-) Congrats, awesome shot. Better than any other shot, IMO, it captured the true sense of luminous light that comes with autumn, not just the showy colors that piggyback on the season. |

| Why be amazed? This is one of the best autumn photographs I have seen. Beautiful colors, The lighting is absolutely wonderful, you picked the best "point of view" in my opinion, and executed what you set out to do. The processing looks very natural and that adds to the feel of your photograph. Fav! |

This is brilliant. Everything is cool about this image. Composition, processing, lighting, sharpness and ofcourse colors. I have lived in Illinois for over 3 years (in Bloomington). Eager to see which place this is.

When I was browsing over all the shots in the challenge earlier, this was one of the few that really caught my eye.
You have it all here, a great mood, a wonderful picturesque scene with great colours and the path leading off into the distance giving the shot some direction and focus. My bet would be that this one will do well. |
