Smoke from incense, and exposure taken quickly after removing incense stick. Flash triggered remotely.

After Challenge:
Since the image was posted with so little time left for me, I forgot to add extra details :)
Yes, it was a fake shot intended, as I had no luck with two previous ideas, so I've had to shoehorn this one in, but not bad, apparently. This was done with fake ice cubes, and then I shot through the incense smoke that I've put behind it.
Thanks for all the comments :-D

hee hee, dry ice is opaque and would be bubbling like mad with crazy amounts of fog - but luckily not a lot of mad scientist voters here ;-)

perhaps try it with the glass not centered. That way the smoke doesn't go to the left-left side of the frame, but goes to the middle-left side of the frame and compliments the glass and ice. Well done otherwise, though.

wow, simply stunning. Nitpicking: I wish the table or whatever the glass stands on were dustfree.

Very nice. Simple composition, but effective.

Cool shot. It feels slightly off balance to me, but the sharpness and overall capture is fantastic.

Your sigi smoke is over exposed on my screen and was your ice real? I think you were trying to make a pun, but it's not working for me.

Dry ice in water? I'd expect a more vigorous reaction if this was what I was seeing here. Otherwise a nicely exposed shot.

this is great lighting.. my only pick is the white spots on the surface and the ice on the left has a weird color cast to it! Still a nice sharp shot! 7

looks more like ice cube mock-ups and cigarette smoke

nice toning, but viewpoint is a bit flat/boring, perhaps closer and 3/4 would have been better. great structure and sharpness in fumes

Great idea. I think the overhead angle works, but the crop is odd. I think the composition would have worked better further to the right to include more of the smoke, and less negative space on the right. No vote.
