Also shot out at the old Lorton prison. There are a couple of nice, old, decaying houses out there. They may have been homes for the wardens or something. There is also an old barn, but it's next to a new high school and on the grounds of a golf course so it doesn't look so rural. There was once a huge working farm on the prison grounds, the idea being it should be both work and sustenance for the prisoners. Long ago.
Shot through a chain link fence; if that wasn't there I might have gone for the whole house view. It's old and has character, and a huge, marvelously shaped tree out front. And that big chain link fence in between the tree and the house ::sigh:: So I'm going for the closer view. I do like the ripped screen and the moss, vines and leaves gradually reclaiming the house.
PP - qtpfsgui (pregamma 0.697, mantiuk method, contrast mapping 0.1, saturation factor 1.126, detail factor 4). Opened tonemapped image as layer in PhotoImpact and merged with original file at 50% transparency, flipped upright, cropped some, decreased gamma, burned a bit at bottom, increased saturation and contrast, decreased saturation on blue/cyan, colored screen browner in places, resized, sharpened, added border. |

Goregeous tones, way underscoered. I can't understand why this is 62nd. Makes no sense. 5.2? B.S.!
