This is actually next to a fairly major road in a large East Bay suburb. Taken on an overcast day near dusk.

-Hue/Saturation adjustments to Reds and Yellows

-USM at 12%/48 dia/TH = 0
-USM at 88%/0.8 dia/TH = 5
-Crop a tiny bit from right and top to reduce file size

You had a good subject but your treatment doesn't do it justice. The fact that the image is sharp from front to end makes all the elements blend into one another.

I think a shallow depth of field and maybe a slightly soft focus on the whole image would make this pop. Maybe also crop out the hot spot of the sky reflecting in the water?
