No I didn't give a black eye for the shot, although I would have....

I'm not expecting to much on this one, in fact I wasn't planning on submitting but my nephew came over with this shiner and I couldn't let it go. He doesn't pose quite as well as my 3 year old nephew

He genuinely looks upset. Would have gotten another shot without the distractions of the white in the left corner and the person in the right corner though.

This image is flawed at so many levels ... and yet, breaking so many rules seems to work brilliantly. I love the emotional payload!

One black eye is better than two, time to cut your losses.

I like the strong expression, thought this would have made a good candidate for monochrome.

Maybe straighten a bit, and use some kind of noise reduction software. Also, adding contrast to this image would have make it more dramatic.
