Crapper. Shame about that, but que sera sera!

Thanks for your comments guys. Most appreciated and supportive. Rules are rules and the SC does a stellar job in upholding them, so I have no gripes about their decision.

I will sulk for a day but I think this kick in the pants is just what I need to push me to raise my game.

Thanks for the comments and votes everyone. Thanks also to Mike for agreeing to pose as The Boxer.

Lighting was provided by a nikon flash SB800 from above and slightly right, and another flash gun fired from behind him left to seperate him from the dark background.

Bruises are not real! Just lots of colour burning in Photoshop.

When you first mentioned about creating the bruising in your description I kind of thought it might get the ol DQ stick. Great image regardless though.

Very nice. To quibble, I think the light from the right is harsh, and leaves a distracting hard shadow below his neck.
