In the first half of the 20th century, Gennep (in Holland) was an active railway town.
In memory of the railway people, this locomotive was put on display.
It is of the "Prussian type" and was built in 1923 by Louis Schwarzkopf in Berlin.
It was operated by the Noord-Brabantsch-Duitsche Spoorweg Maatschappij (NBDSM), Gennep being the headquarters of this railway company.

Yeah, you should quit...you got some really cruddy photos anyway. I should know...I quit at least 3 times already and my photos are way cruddier then yours...we don't have things like this train here in Las Vegas anymore. They did when I was a kid. It was fun to play on them. I wonder what happened to them?

I thought this was you! Reminds me of the style of some of your other pieces. esp. "Hot Chocolate & Gluwine" Like a Currier & Ives print.

Great Shot. There is a farm near Clarens called Noord Brabant. The name always fascinated me and now I know where it comes from. The owner must have been from Hollandish descend. If I recall correctly his surname was Cilliers.

The locomotive portion of the image is cool, but the depth of field also allows the distractions of the houses to detract. The post processing is probably a little heavy as well, though I suspect that you were going for that look.

The pic is a little washed out... It really looks more like a painting than a pic. Don't get me wrong it is a great photo......I'll give you a 7

Great subject, I might have gone a little darker and burned the ducks, as bad as that sounds, I think they are a nice element.
