I don't usually give bluebirds to top 10s, but this was just too wonderful to pass up. It feels kind of silly to give my award to someone whose profile is as incredible as yours -- but what the heck!

Anyway, if you have a look to my gallery you could note that my style is similar to Coley, but not the same. I use a big suitcase and no tree :)

| Ah, the Umbrella Man is back - although that appendage probably won't do him much good if he continues forward and steps into the sea. I like this as it is completely surreal ala the style of Magritte. The soft textures of the waves belie the wide expanse of lonely ocean. He gives pause to consider his Journey - and ours. Outstanding! |

Amazing image, I really like this.
I think what would make it stronger is to develop the story of the character a bit more. Okay, he's at the end of the bridge. Is he just staring into the water, admiring the scenery? Or is he distraught and thinking of jumping in? Maybe making me wonder is your intention, but I feel it would be great to give some more clues. Like, what if suitcase and umbrella were dropped along the path, and the coat stripped off and discarded?
Meh, what am I saying, this is a better shot than I could make. :) |
