 I had no idea what to do for signature style, because my bluebirds had left for the winter. I figured I'd end up doing a seagull shot. Then one day before the challenge was due, there they were!

I wanted to get an "in flight" shot, since I feel that's more my signature shot. However, the area where I photograph them only has about 40 minutes of sunlight at 8:45 in the morning. Even with trying 1600 ISO, I couldn't get the 1/2500-1/4000 exposure that I need to stop the motion on these little guys. So a portrait will have to do.

This is my favorite of the shots. It was taken just as the light hit that part of the yard. The little bit of woods behind was still dark, so I didn't have to do anything to darken the background, it was this way because of the camera angle and time of day.

Ok, what's extra strange about all of this is that the bluebirds were here for the two days before the challenge, but now I haven't seen them since! I hope they haven't abandoned me and gone someplace else. This is actually pretty weird...
